Best linux os

    What do you guys think the best linux os is, looking for something free, that I can download to cd. I use it mostly for work (excel/word docs), internet, and music/dvds. I am somewhat new to it, although have set up installations before.

    Slackware. No two ways about it. It gives you the best balance between usability and power.

    It's all I use.

    The best one is the distro that fits on a 1.44MB floppy disk. :D :D :D :D :D

    Fedora isn't bad, but it has Redhat's underpinnings and RH just rubbed me the wrong way.
