I have a 95 civic and I wondering what the biggest size wheels I can put on it without causing problems, and what tires to buy with those rims

17's is the biggest i would go, and if ur looking for a summer tread...for rain and dry road try hankook or yoko or pirelli..all good tires.

OR jack it up and rock dubs

my boy had 19's on his 200 civic si...it looked ok but not to functional if you ask me

i'm ashamed to admit this but i got 18's on my 93 hatch. my boy has 19's on his 94 coupe. i seen 20's done on a 5 gen but it wasnt pretty.

I have 17 inch black enkei rs-5's and they look tight on my car with teh 1.75 inch drop :tpp:

you have to take into consideration that most 18s are 18x7.5, and the overall tire diameter for 18s with 215/35-18s are a mere half-inch larger than a 205/40-17... he didn't say retain ALL performance, but it won't be as bad as the '90 prelude with 19s I see every other day around town...

I wasn't speaking in regards to the weight aspect. I know that heavy wheels are bad, I was merely pointing out that in overall diameter the largest wheel/tire combination that is possible without messing up GEARING on a civic is 18s with 215/35/18 tires.
