ive been noticing that my muffler tip has black carbon build up ive recently had my exhaust piping done from my cat to 2.25 and put an aftermarket muffler what does this mean????

it means that when the gas in your engine combusts, the remnants are mosly carbon particles, so it means that your car is running just fine.

i would start to worry if it spits out onto the back of your bumper like mine does, but if just the inside of your muffler is black, then thats just fine.

The darker the buildup, the richer ur car is running - hondas are designed to run rich in VTEC mode, so thats why the buildup is so dark . . .
