ive tried searching and i guess the last post about it was lost in the last board upgrade.
anyone thats ever done it before please post thoughts on it and what all would be needed in the process.
and the guy that has the black primer civic on rotas with wilwood brakes repost your pics :p (sorry i cant remember whos car that was)
 
That was b16's car I believe and trailer park pimp has primered many cars.

Step one sand car down to remove any shine from the paint. Do not sand below the primer. Try to leave some of the Honda paint on if you can for some protection.
Step two mask the shit out of the car.
Step three go to your local paint store and buy flat black spray paint.
Step four paint the car

I will be doing a spray can job on my crx after I fix the rust.
 
oh GAWD i get a hard on for primer :D anywho, do what Jeff said, but you may wanna also remove anything possible..ie headlights, tail lights, corner lamps, wings, bumbers...etc. make it alot easier. set aside a weekend to do a decent job. pic of my green primer car below:

i've herd that it's a good idea to mask the window molding/trip (whatever) and that misc. shit before you sand so you don't skuff it up.

just a thought.
 
what do you think estimated time would be with 3 people doing this?
and exactly how far down do i sand? just take off the clear coat?
what grit paper should i use? and should i gradually get finer grit?
