well my your niece is about to get a computer and i was needing to know how to block face book, myspace, and the im including im from yahoo. i would like to buy the soft wear as a one time thing nothing that i have to pay for every year.anyone know of something that can do this. even a trick to do it for free would be great.
 
kids these days know how to get around that stuff. you can block it all, but she will just use her friends, school, or library computer.

imho, it is better to educate and inform them of the evils within the sites. don't block her from the bad. educate her and let her know why it is bad. show her articles from myspace/facebook criminals and rapists. show her 'to catch a predator'.

blocking it will only build interest and intrigue. everybody wants to taste the forbidded fruit so to speak. if you downplay it, she will be less interested.
