Won't go past 4600 rpm

So I have a sohc 1.5 VTEC E but won't go past 4600 rpm it won't even let the VTEC try to kick in. Help please

Have you checked the oil level? VTEC requires a certain oil pressure to activate. Is the car stock? Have you messed with anything?

No have not messed with any thing. And yes stock with headers and intack. Got my po6 chip to /p28 but even before the ECU was done it would bog or hick up at 4600

Convert to VTEC. So my buddy and I d decided to run a wire to the solenoid hit and it kick in. Even with no Rev contact through the wire hot we were able to hear it kick. The ECU not strong enough. Need to get a p28 VTEC ecu

This car would have to be heavily looked at to diagnose bud, sounds like somebody wiring nightmare, I dont see how kids get in these messes long as you stay correct obd swaps by year its all plug and play...

It is a plug and play 1.5 single cam non VTEC to 1.5 single cam VTEC. All plug and play. But found out that the po6 ECU can't hold the voltage at that rmp so I'm going to try a state p28 VTEC ecu
