boosting & tuning

Since i am not really good in mechanic stuff. Please help me understand these terms BOOSTING , TUNING, WHP, HP, TORQUE. What is the defination for each? Thanks

BOOSTING=

putting your engine under load to the point where the turbo/supercharger emits positive pressure

TUNING=

altering your air fuel ratio/ignition map to the ideal ratio

WHP=

horsepower measured at the wheels

HP=

horsepower as measured at the flywheel

TORQUE-

twisting force of a motor
