Bouncy Tach

I was wondering if anyone can help? My 92 integra ls has this problem; when i start to go fast, usually around 3500 to 6000 rpm my tach starts jumping around like crazy. Every thing has been replaced, distributer, coil, control unit, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter and now i am stuck any help will do. The car still goes , but a little sluggish and hesitant. Please Help!!

my speedo does that sometimes which is wuite a bitch cuz when im goin like 65, the needle goes to 130 and the speed limiter kicks in. you might have a bad sensor somewhere. i know this doesnt really help, but i sympathize.

what does the clutch have to do with the Tach?


I have the same prob on my CRX and i'm still trying to solve it, so if any knows please post
I think its gotta be somewhere in the distributor.

If the clutch is slipping and chattering then the rpm 's of the engine will not consistaint even at a constant speed.

check your battery connection, my hatch did this, i ended up having a loose ground.
