hey guys, heres a ? for ya.

on my 89 accord sei, ive been having brake problems. everything is good, and then everyonce and a while, and this usually lasts for a day or two, the pedal will just fade all the way to the floor under "normal braking". it will fade all the way to the floor and do nothing to stop the car, unless you mash it into the carpet, then the tires lock. if you are driving and just slam on the brakes, not hard enough to lock them, but hard enough to be considered an emergency stop............they feel fine. fluid is fine, pads and rotors seem okay. and again, this only happens like once a week or so, and it last for about a day or two. any ideas?

Moving to the correct forum...

oops, i swear i clicked that one..........

is the master cylinder easy to change on that car?

thanks

It should be easy to change on ANY car.

Bleed some fluid out of the brake lines. Remove master cylinder. Install new master cylinder. Add brake fluid while bleeding lines.

Voila. :D
