Broken Sol

I tried on HondaHookup, but I didnt get many replies...

OK, I have a 94 del Sol with a B18C5 swap....I have had this idling problem since it was done, but thats not really the problem. The problem is when ever I get 50% or more on the throttle the tach starts to freak out, but the engine revs up normal until about 5200 and then starts to chug and sounds like it wants to cut out...I wonder if the ECU is fried....so ya...Can you guys help me out here...

uhmmmmmm CEL's? sounds like either the Fuel pump or Distributor.

Im gonna say check the distributor too. Same thing happened to a friends car. Wouldnt rev pest 4k cuz the dizzy bearing was gone. It was chewing up caps and rotors like crazy too.

BUmp for dizzy. Try the timing with the dizzy. It could be that.

What ECU you running? I would agree, check the distributor. Find someone else with a obd2 b series and try it

I'm running a p30 ECU. its OBD1, I still have the Type R ECU, will it work?

well, did you check the distributor? sounds like timing to me also, check that out before you think its your ECU.
