i want to boost my gsr motor, to get some where around 400+ horses. but im not sure if i would have to buy an aftermarket crank.

i have read in my honda build up book that they build an 875 horspower gsr motor with a stock crank. turbo and alcohol burning of corse. but i was still a stock crank

you should be fine on the stock crank, but if your gonna dump all that money into reaching 400hp might as well replace it. just my 2 cents

Cranks are expensive, especially custom ones, if you don't have to replace it, you should spend the money elsewhere.

Hondas cranks are fucking beefy. I about shit the first time I picked up my d16 crank. I had a 302 crank laying around in the garage and it actually felt lighter.
