Has anyone ever built up their motor while it was still in the car? The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to throw a set of forged pistons/rods into my current civic. I own 3 cars, my roomate has 2, and we share a 2 car garage. Needless to say space comes at a premium. When I built up the jrsc hatch I had the sense to do everything on a stand. Not this time.

So, are there any hassles involved with dissassembling and properly reassambling a b series rotating assembly while the block is still in the car?

I have done it on a friends roundy round civic. I put ZC pistons in his y8 but i would recomend it. it was hard oil driping on my head all the time and pain to plastigauge and check cleances. Also i have a lift and would not advise it so on the ground you will hate your self. spend the 1hr it taks to jerk the swap and then change the rods/pistons
