Burnin it up, no leaks!!!

Hey everyboby Pauldollar here. Just did swap to Ls Vtec. motor runs great, did 1000 miles or so to break in real good before jumpin on it.Motor is burnin alot of oil with no smoke or leaks.. What should I be lookin for.Appreciate any help.

Your 100% positive you have NO leaks???

Compression test the thing. My guess is that the rings were poorly fit and/or didn't seat correctly. Did you have the head freshened up? The valve guides could be leaking as well.

Not true. A properly built motor should burn zero oil.

my lsvtec dosent burn any oil and runs fine its a great motor and a great build your rings prob didnt seat good like was already stated dont listen to this ive seen alot of lsvtecs and they didnt burn oil

its got to be your rings or valve guides

What type of procedure did you use to break the motor in? If you babied it around at constant rpms for 1000 miles that is why the rings didnt seat correctly.

either valve guides or the valve seals.... prob didn't measure them..... happens alot in swaps.
