hey guys, sorry to bother again, but does anyone know if you bypass the power steering by taking it off along with the bottle etc, EXCEPT the power steering rack, will it damage the rack? or should i just replace the rack along with it too?...
thx for any info.... :D

You can use a short piece of hose to connect the pressure side to the discharge side of the rack. That will keep some fluid there for lubrication, and water and dirt out.

so dats it?......and the steering rack will be ok?........cool...and thx dude.....you just made part of mah day
:D

That's it. The only thing is that the power rack will take more effort to turn, but it should be fewer turns lock-to-lock.

search for "looping" or "looped power steering"

there is a how-to floating aroudn here somewhere....
