Did you feel it was necessary to upgrade to a Type R booster and master cylinder?

About to do the five lug and wanted to get everything together and do it once. If there is no need to upgrade, Id rather not spend the extra cash, but if braking suffers worse than the original setup, then I would consider that necessary.

Also, I have a drum brake system on the car right now, will I need to order civic ebrake cables, or integra ones?

ek not too sure about but for eg that shit stayed the same. just the actual brake assebly. car has driven from ct to ca and stoped every time it had too. no probs but again i dunno about eks
