Ok, so in order to truely find out how much I can adjust my cam gear before contacting the piston, I need to know the centerline degree.

Does anyone know the opening BTDC and closing ABDC degrees of a Civic Type R cam shaft intake and exhaust?

I have the formula to get it, but I need the numbers.

Thanks for trying, I have those. I need the degree on the 360 at which the cam first contacts the valve, then the degree at which it loses contact. I don't want to take my motor apart, to clay it for only what is preobably going to end up being a 3 degree adjustment:p

is this a stock b16a with ctr cams and nothing has been decked or milled? if so, you're safe with any adjustments you'll be making. i went +3 degrees on my intake side with no problems. ctr's don't need much changing as far as cam timing goes, at least not enough to worry about piston/valve contact.
