there are police run cameras all over my town.
not to mention that even though our internet isnt censored, its still tracked and watched.
 
I would still take America over any country in Europe any day of the week.

And you can always run an onion routing program too if you are worried about being tracked. But in terms of privacy we give more of it away then they take. How many of you use Google products? They are the worst data miners of them all. Oh and add Comcast and AT&T

The only thing Europe has going for it is its rich history and beauty. Politically we're still better off over here.

personally, i feel that america is a prime example that full on democracy does not work.
its taken us only 200 years to completely ruin a perfectly good idea.
 
Capitalistic Representative government is prone to greed, corruption, and taking advantage of poor people.
Socialistic Democratic government is prone to laziness, degeneration, and taking advantage of productive people.

I don't know what the answer is, but it's not anything that we've already tried. And the balancing act between the two seems to be giving us the worst of both.
 
there is no system that is perfect. but there are ones that have lasted for much much longer than the US will.
just look into history and you'll see.
 
The reason why the system has 'failed' is because we as Americans have become complacent. We are so worried about R's and D's that we allowed all this shit to happen. To concerned with social justice or war hawking. Governments get away with what they do because the people just stop caring. They figure we are just screwed, that we can just move, that it will change if we hope enough. I am not sure what the answer is either, but what I do know is that we brought this on ourselves. We allowed them to use us as pawns to purpetuate their schemes. They have manipulated us for so long that we no longer see the hands behind the curtain.

exactly the point.
people are too greedy to allow an actual democracy to stay in place and run as designed.
whoever is in power, will find a way to use that power to improve their personal lives in any way they can.
the government has been overstepping its boundaries for a very very long time.
with each election we took one more step away from democracy.
everything that is our government today, is about the opposite of what was planned for our government when we first won independence.
career politicians, strong central government, laws based on religion, religion running a muck in our court and legal systems.
government creating special provisions to care for those who wont do for themselves (wont, not cant), and, as you said, the division into to main classes of majorities.

the thing is, when government started overstepping the boundaries, they started to instill fear into the people (once again, against the foundation of the US) and thats the main stepping stone towards what we are now.

its not only the fact that people just feel they cant change anything, but because the government has no problem doing what they want to shut people up.

our right to bear arms is not only for civil needs, but to defend against outside countries and ultimately to keep our own government at bay.
the government is supposed to fear us, not the other way around.
 
Whats to fear when folks continue to buy into their lies? And I know most folks on here are well aware of what is going on but it is the rest of the sheeple, our friends and family that have no clue as to what to fuck is going on. They simply do not want to face the fact that the system in place is two different sides to the same coin. It is best for us to speak out as much as possible to get more and more people to pull their heads out of the sand and the long dick of the government out of their ass.

i try to tell people about this kind of stuff, and their either too fucking stupid to understand that obama isnt really trying to help them, or they think that im just talking about shit i know nothing about.
 
Our country was great until FDR (D) ruined it and turned it into a socialist state. We've never recovered.

- he invented income taxes and sales taxes. these didn't exist prior to him, and the country didn't have a big deficit.
- he passed minimum wage laws for the first time, forcing inflation forever



perhaps he died to soon to see these through, and maybe truman should have slowly canned them back during recovery after the war, but no one ever did.... and here were are, 60 years later, with more and more and more of these programs and getting further and further into debt.

how did we make it from 1776 to 1934 without these levies and rules, yet are in deep shit in in just 60 years?
