I'm interested in buying this civic nearby. When I called the owner it totally flew over my head to ask if it was stick shift or auto. I'm new to Honda's so excuse my n00b question. Also I'd like to know what you guys think of the car, I'm not very knowledgeable about cars but I see that the owner has replaced many parts and I would like to know if it should be of any concern. It was riced out with performance parts so I dont know what to think.

theres not really much there that would give any inclination of whether its auto or manual.

in the engine bay, i dont think there is a master cylinder for the clutch, but, the picture is small and crappy quality so i cannot be sure about that.

i would just assume its an auto.

If you have a public info account you could run the plate number to get the VIN, then run the VIN through CarFax (free) to see if it was auto or stick...

Thanks a lot guys. I found out its auto. But I want some opinions as to the the replacements the owner stated in the ad. Is there any concern when you see so many things were replaced in a car ?

So wait a minute, you saw this ad, called the guy and spoke to him about the car, and then realized that you forgot to ask whether it was auto or manual, right? So then, instead of simply calling again and saying, "hey, I had one more question about the car", you went on to an Internet forum and pasted up the Craigslist ad (which gives no indication whatsoever what kind of transmission the car has) hoping that someone on here would be able to tell you the answer?

Okay. That seems pretty ridiculous. Why didn't you just call him back again? If you're seriously looking at buying a car, then I think you're entitled to two phone calls! :D

But anyway, no, I wouldn't necessarily be concerned about the replaced parts. Have you ever owned a car before? Parts break and wear out. You replace them. All of what he did just sounds like typical maintenance to me...
