I've used polymer banknotes in both Hong Kong and Mexico and I'd say that they hold up better than paper money.
I also didn't have any problems with them being in a wallet.
I agree though that counterfeiting won't be any more difficult.

i really want to know how they feel and how they handle being folded over and over.
its all monopoly money anyway.
Euro notes are plastic. Aside from obvious economic problems, their money does alright.
I haven't seen any plastic euro's and I was in Paris 2 weeks ago.
The Hong Kong note i've had for years has held up pretty well. It sat in my wallet for almost 2 years for some reason... lol
