Can't find obd2 engine? hard to switch?

Well, I've searched and searched for a obd2 engine, and can't find any for under a grand (from a junkyyard!!). I found a good running engine from a 95 civic, that I can get for $300. So what all would I need to swithc to obd1? my friend will be doing it so I will need to let him know of any surprises. thanks, neil (btw- I have a d16y7,(96 civic dx))
 
its easy just buy a jumper harness for about 100 bucks, or buy a new motor thats obd2 online
