    - steady idle at 500 RPM
    - timing is good and not gettting any codes

Car ran fine until 2 days. I was driving it and at a stop light it just died then I started it up again no problem.

Then today I went to start it and it wouldn't start. After waiting about 20 minutes it deciced to start but kept dying at or near idle and would want to start. I could only run it with the gas slightly pressed. After i got home it idled fine and didn't die.

    Any idea's whats causing this?

That doesn't explain the no-start after it dies. Plus battery has full charge. I was questioning if it could be fuel pump - but I don't feel fuel cutting out.

Plugs and wires are new. And since its at idle I don't think its the dizzy.

    This problem is baffling me.

Turns out it was the ignitor chip - I luckily had one from an extra distributor.
