Well, it will start, but it usually takes awhile. If I start my car in the morning, it cranks for about 5 seconds and starts the car. But sometimes, it takes longer so I try to crank it again and it starts up right away. I want it to start up right away on the first crank. It starts up fine when the car is already warm. What can I do to fix it? What can I check?
Everything, plugs could be worn or dirty. Coil, dizzy, wires. All fuel, make sure your pump turns on when you turn the key, you should hear it.
Do a full tune up. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, set the timing, and run a bottle or two of fuel injector cleaner through the system. Should perk right up. These are normal items that should be replaced every now and again anyway.
