car idles at 4000 RPM at start up & 2000

I've been ignoring this problem for a long time but I need to just deal with it. After doing a VX to Z6 swap I had an irractic idle. I fixed it by adjusting the TPS. Now the SOB sounds like a porp plane about to takeoff when you first start it.

Anyone got a clue?

I know:
1) no vacumn leak
2) IAC is fine
3) no CEL
4) TPS voltage is within specs

I had a similar problem when I first initially started up my ride, I took off the TB and put some WD40 on it and in all areas that move, played around with it, opened it manually a couple times and then I put it back together and it idled perfect.

ive got a simialr problem too. except mine idles at 3k at startup and 1.5k when warm, and when sitting in traffic it will go down even lower to normal. but on startup sometimes it will go up and down too. JDMilan, you think i should just clean it. the throttle plate does look pretty dirty, and do you need a new TB gasket?
