car not starting

    i have a friend with a 97 hx civic and he swapped a d16z6 into the car. he also got a odb-2 to obd-1 jumper harness and the only plug that is not hooked up the the crank position sensor down by the pulley (on the y5, i have never seen a y5 setup) but he is using a z6 dizzy. any ideas on what migh be wrong??

    the crank position is not hooked up?? If so that is why it isnt starting. Find a ecu pinout for the motor and see which wire is the crank pos.

    the crank position sensor is most likely why it isnt starting

    but why in the hell do people try to start their engine before they have everything hooked up????? i dont get it
