Was that the V10 model? Lambo's like to catch fire too. :p Didn't the diesel V12 R8 go up in flames on the ring as well?

I would still buy one, love those cars.

yea, his was the blinged out top of the line one.

i feel the same way. i like them enough that i would still consider buying one, but going into it, know that its a 50/50 shot of being a pain in the ass for the rest of it's owner ship.

my ex had an '02 a4 1.8t and it kept having stupid problems all the time too. so she traded it in on a jetta.

that was after we broke up, so i no longer care :)

Work on them for a living. Lets say I'm gainfully employed.

Weird thing is there are cars from all models/generations that have zero problems. And then there are cars that satan cursed.

Anything built with the 2.8L V6 or the belt-drive 4.2 V8 are generally brick shithouses with no issues whatsoever so long as you maintain them. The owner of a local large electronics company has a 2001 A8 with 234k on it and has never had a trans issue, electronics problem or a major break-down.

The B6 A4's were cursed with sludge problems, fuel filters and issues with VC/camshaft adjuster leaks and coolant flange leaks.

Just be happy you don't own a 2.7T powered vehicle.

yup, hence my 50/50 remark.

it may be a pile of shit.
i may run for ever.

it's really luck of the draw. it's not per model.

Only audi I could see myself owning as of now is something with the 2.0 TDI

Outside of that... no thanks.

He did for a while, look back.

no, that was WAY after the dildos. dildos are like circa 2005. ex was circa 2008.

Problems happen with cars, period. My Buddy has a 2008 Jeep Wrangler XL 4 door and it's been in the shop twice with transmission problems and the car only has 22,000 miles on it.

Another girl at work has a 2009 Nissan Frontier that needed an engine replacement, funny thing is they gave her a Versa for a week to drive while they fixed her car.

And then there was my dads 1991 Toyota 4 runner that had 236k miles and it never had any problems what so ever. B i think you remember that truck i drove to ACC

I plan on getting rid of the Audi late next year anyway. Gonna get either a 07/08 Tundra or Titan

lol, you're citing a new jeep and nissan vs a 91 4 runner
thats not even a fair comparison
the 4 runner could make a run across the sahara, i don't think the other 2 would even be able to survive the trip there on a boat

Werd. Thats like saying my friends 98 Escort started having transmission problems, but my 88 Civic has been just fine. No shit the tranny broke. It's a Ford. Same deal here. No shit the domestic broke before the jappy battle wagon had an oil change.
