1982 Toyota Tercel 4dr with a 1.5L 60ish HP and a 4spd

Best sh!t box I've ever owned. Rusted out, needed a lot of TLC, but it had a sound system that would make you wet the bed.

I call BS.  I've driven the Supra Turbo, and as a seasoned Supra pro, the Turbo is godly.  To take it out and revlimit shift on your first attempt at driving a stick is ... lets say unbelievable.     And "no turbo whistle" ?   You're a tool.

That's a tip from your Uncle Cel.

-> Steve

No turbo whistle I didn't hear it I remember it because the supra had no rain gutters and it was rain light rain that night when you open the window on that car the rain slid off the roof and hit you in the face. Who hasent taking a car to the rev limit when trying to drive fast with a manual (when its there first time) and hit rev limit ? I know I have, no one that pefects on there first time.
So your telling me you drivin all years of supra including the first pop-up light turbos? Rev 8k shut the fuck up you was not fucken perfect the first time and you was flooring a geo the first time you drove a stick ?( I never did in my Geo and I didnt even have a tach) hahah 90 hp you would have to be stupid to hit the rev-limit in that thing, cause it would take forever to get up there.
Picking fights in a new thread? Dont ruin this one.

:emofo:

You're babbling about rain and no gutters... :hmm:

I didn't pick a fight. I told the truth...you're the one gettin all pissy about it.

For the year I stated, geo metros had 55 hp. asshat. Know what you're talking about before you babble nonsense. I never said I was perfect, but for my first time I know I wasn't bouncing off redline all the time.

Anyway, if you were ramming your friends supra into the red line constantly then you are a grade A asshole with no morals and you would never be trusted behind the wheel of any of my cars, and I'm sure everyone else here feels the same way.

btw...I never hit the rev limiter in the Geo, and 1st gear redline right around 15 mph. :bo: how pathetic...but 55 mpg rocked. :p

I have hit the rev limiter in my Escort. That 7k rpm redline came up pretty quickly for a 12 yr old engine.

Have fun gettin your ass whipped after your friends find out you destroy their cars.

a friends 89 escort, i was alone in the car a year before i got my license, i had to back it up goin up hill to move the car into the driveway. after a few clutch riding tries i went around the block instead.

I stung rev limiter on my CX once or twice. I was high rpm, first to second gear flatshifting and missed the gear (yes! we've all missed gears so don't lie) so it went into neutral and "PING PING" went the fuel cutoff. :) Holla.

Learned to drive a stick when I was 14 in my dad's 87 Mustang GT. He parked it on a 30* incline to teach me how to use the ebrake on hills... Was a really interesting lesson.

I took my drivers test when I was 16 in an '88 4 speed manual Sentra S. I stalled it at a light during the test, but the instructor still gave me 100% because she explained that I wasn't wrong for stalling the car, and that I had all the time in the world to gather my wits, restart the car, and move along at my own pace. If someone would have rearended or honked at me, it would have been their fault/problem, not mine. I was pretty pleased with myself. ;)

The only cars I've driven on a regular basis that was an auto was a POS Plymouth Horizon that I had to shift manually, and keep my foot on the gas at lights because of MAJOR carburator problems, and a pretty nice power everything 1992(?) V6 Sable.

I've been through at least 10 different cars, to date.

*note...my truck was real, not a toy.

Gotta love them Studii's...

my first car, 14 years old, before I got my licence. I payed $550 for it, fixed the bad water pump, and it ran like a charm. I had dreams of making that truck into something...but when I drove it...7 miles later...I sold it.

The steering wheel was huge, the shifting pattern was to unusual to learn, and it was slow as hell. Sold it and got a Jeep the next day.

That truck with a flatbed would be the most awesome rollback truck for the racecar evAr!!! :)

Shoulda kept it mang.

that was 17 years ago.... <_<

I've been driving longer than some of your were alive...

not me hehe!!!!!!!

About 3 yrs ago I went to a car dealership looking for a good buy on a sporty car with a MT. I never drove a MT and always wanted to learn how to drive one. About an hour later I was driving home a 93 Ford Probe 5spd. Stalled once but got it down fast.

first car believe it or not was a 95 blue 240sx SE, and then eventually a 97 Red Miata that was the daily.

94 civic vx...and its good because it has an economy shift light..so the little green arrow pops up at 2700 rpm usually...weak motor but did me good and taught me to shift.

lol i learned 3 years ago on a 1994 Integra ls with an h22, custom swap at the time and quite costly cuz back then i don't think they had a swap kit out for the duece in the teg... it was fun the cool thing is tho i pick stuff up really fast if i'm new to it, well i didn't stall the car once nor did i ever ride the clutch i just took my time to get it down right and i did.... took about a week to perfect and about a month to where driving stick is like breathing air, i don't think about it at all it just happens..........give me something with wheels and a clutch and i'll drive it...

Learned on a 96 200SX SE-R... with an ACT XT/SS clutch setup. Easy as pie.
