b18c5 into a 96 civic cx. Turn the key and the car turns but doesn't start unless throttle is open. When the throttle is released the car dies. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

probably the iac valve is wired wrong. Try turning up the idle screw (on the throttle body) about 2 complete turns, if the car will run like that, you've most likely screwed the IACV wiring up.
