then it wouldn't be carbon fiber...couldn't he just take the vc to someone and have them cover it?
Dont know that I would trust such an integral part of the motor to a piece of carbon fiber. Dont get me wrong, Carbon fiber is nice, but I (in my own opinion) think thats a bit much...

asmallsol, I believe I worded my post incorrectly....But, you did answer your own question. You have to have a valve cover to complete the motor...that’s why it is integral. On the other hand, let me rephrase my prior post.
I don’t know that I would waste the money on a carbon fiber valve cover. In order to find a valve cover that I would trust to be molded correctly, I think you would have to pay a premium.. With that being said, I'm sure you can find a company that makes them for a cheaper price, (this is where my theory of trust comes to play) but who knows what type of quality you are going to get. It's just like buying a carbon fiber hood. You can spend $250 on a hood that will suffice, or you can spend $375 and get one that is actually finished and fits. And again, I do apologize for my vague post previously made in this thread....
not like you NEED that ground anyway. my ground on the VC is on the bolt holding the VC down, and not the VC itself. im really curious to the point of that ground in the first place. it doesnt do anything.
but on topic, the VC made out of CF seems pretty pointless.
