88 crx w/ b16a swap. CEL has been coming on randomly. not sure if it is code 17 or 1&7.. its one quick flash **pause** then seven flashes. vtec still engages.. not sure if that means anything or not. i looked in the reference section but im still unclear about how to tell whether its 17 or 1&7. sooooo dont flame me.. just help please. thanks.

quick flashes are 10s and fast ones are ones. flaaaaaaaaaaaaash, flash, flash, etc. would be something 11-19, if you are getting quick flashes then it is in the ones.

by the way, when you read it turn on your ignition, it should blink once just to tell you it works, if it blinks more then that is the code and it will keep blinking the code over and over

can you not read.. i posted it above before you did..
