The Tolkien thing is lost on me. Haven't read it, haven't seen it. I saw the Hobbit as a cartoon when I was 6 or so, that's about it.
I tried to read through the trudgery and couldn't do it. Reading the Hobbit was like sticking needles under my fingernails.
The piece I wrote up there is intended as a short story. I didn't mean to finish it . What you see there is really the whole thing I had in mind. I had no intent to delve into these characters. I will though, and I am now - but I'm not online at home to post up. When I get my connection I'll return to post some more.
