I checked my engine code by the same service connector you use for adjusting timing.

I am a little confused? do you run a wire from the pipn to a toggle switch? and the other side of the toggle switch to a ground. push the button and it will read on the dash?

how would i "jump" the ecu to check CODES? is it the same service connector as the one you use to set ignition timing?

you can use the same plug to check the codes. it just flashes on the cluster instead of on the ecu. just leave your check engine wire on the conversion harness alone. thats what I did on mine
did you get the sub harness? I also suggest getting the dist adapters also with your conversion kit.
yes you need a obd1 dist, p28/p30 ecu, and 4 wire o2 sensor
