i was watching street rodder or something on ESPN yesterday and i saw this http://kwiklift.com/
its a hoist under a grand, raises the car 3 feet, breaks down, portable and all you need is a jack to lift it.

we have a 03 2500 HD with 3,500 miles on it in at work right now (body shop) with 13,000 dollars worth of damage from it falling off one of those cheapass electric hoists.
