someone is selling a K20 engine came of from a 04 rsx.
His asking $700 for the complete engine/trans/axel/ecu/engine harness.


1. is it hard to swap into EK?
2. what else i need for this swap? besides Hondata ECU/Engine Mounts ect.
is this worth $700?
need suggestions/comments/advise pls!!!!!

if it's to good to be true, chances are it is. what you have to think about is why would he be swapping out a k20, most people I can think of wouldn't be doing it. it's like B said, either blown or stolen, if he has paper work on it then it's probably not stolen but ask to see what the car looked like that it came out of, because he could have been in a head on collision with something, and then the engine over heated. just be careful
 
i wouldn't buy an engine unless...

A) its from a shop or someone i know/trust personally
B) I can drive the car it's in before it's pulled
C) I plan on doing a full rebuild and there is legit paperwork to go with it.

if you have to ask how hard it is to swap, you are in over your head. get a b18b swap for $1000 and call it a day. much better off that way.

blown, stolen or it not the Type S, prob a K20a3 either way its not worth it. If you want to do a K-swap, get it from a reputable place.

K-swaps arent cheap, but if you want to come over to the darkside then there is a parts list on K20a.org or contact Hybrid racing.

1: Yes. But it can certainly be done.
2: a. Lots of Money. Wiring, hoses, custom axles, etc.. b. Absolutely, a "steal" of a deal.
 
he crashed his car. he actually selling a ef si + the k20a3 to my friend for 1500. the engine is in working condion tho.
 
For the amount of work and the cost of putting a K-series into an EF, the K20a3 is not worth it at all.
