Hello all. i have a 96 civic has the d16y5 with the cvt auto tranny. belt driven. What is the cheapest possible ways to do the 5 spd swap. my tranny is about to go. What is needed and how much can i plan on spending? thanks

Hey a fellow vermont person... damn

Anyways

You would need

A 96-97 Manual ECU ( Recomended) but not needed
A 5 speed Tramy
clutch and flywheel with bolts
Axle shafts from a 5speed your auto's will not work
Clutch peddle and master / slave cylinders + lines
You will need to do some wiring as the Reverse lights will not work, in till you wire them up from trany
Also some wiring will need to be done so your car thinks its in park in order to start...

other than that its a fairly simple install
