Check Engine Light

95 GSR, when i start my car the check engine light flashes for about 5 seconds. is this normal?

I am pretty sure the car is telling you to take it for some sort of expensive service.

How many miles do you have on the engine?

Try holding in the Reset buton while you crank the car while it flashes and then release it after the light goes off. Then turn off the engine and fire it up agian to see if it cleared it.

It may work but uhmmmm........OBD1?????
