cars.com: 2002 Porsche 911 GT2
ok i gotta play the numbers on this one
2002 911 GT2 brand new in 2002..... $128,146 + tax, title, reg, etc..
upgrades to said Porsche in 2004..... $112,825.21
sale price in 2007.... $139,995
total investment over 5 years of ownership..... $240,971.21 + random shit (tires, oil, etc)
loss on investment at resale..... $100,976.21
this of course is assuming that the dealership is not making any money off of the sale of this car and all of that money is going to the cars owner
the chances of that are quite slim... so the total loss is probably another $10-40K
moral of the story... no matter how fucking sweet the car is.... its a shitty investment
Yeah but if its like any import e-bay listing, that 112K in upgrades was more like 30K =)~
never mix business with pleasure
