ok i gotta play the numbers on this one

2002 911 GT2 brand new in 2002..... $128,146 + tax, title, reg, etc..
upgrades to said Porsche in 2004..... $112,825.21
sale price in 2007.... $139,995
total investment over 5 years of ownership..... $240,971.21 + random shit (tires, oil, etc)
loss on investment at resale..... $100,976.21
this of course is assuming that the dealership is not making any money off of the sale of this car and all of that money is going to the cars owner
the chances of that are quite slim... so the total loss is probably another $10-40K

moral of the story... no matter how fucking sweet the car is.... its a shitty investment

Yeah but if its like any import e-bay listing, that 112K in upgrades was more like 30K =)~

i know quite a few people that make money on cars
most of them buy and sell vettes...
