Checkin CEL's

Ok, so I cant find the plug with the brown and black wires comin outa the ECU to check the CEL. Where else could it be?

What kind of car do you have again? The wires may not be brown and black. Mine weren't. Look for a two plug connector that has nothing going to it under the passenger's side. That's what you want to jump. It should be right next to a three plug connector.

Nice! Found it! They were brown and black, but it was tucked away pretty good.

Now the problem is, the CEL is solid. No flashes at all.

You're not throwing a code and everything is normal according to the ECU. It'll stay solid if it doesn't have any codes to throw.

Thats the weird part though. The CEL was on when we parked the car, and it had a surging idle. Then we jumped the plug and the hit the ignition, and no blinking.

Does the car still have the idling problems or did they go away?
