here guys just about to start my ls/vtec build. my question is does anyone have any good experiences with chipped p28's? I have both a p28 and a p72. I was just going to use the p72 but i'm going to use a 94 ls block and there aren't any provisions for a knock sensor, which isn't really a big deal but i guess might complicate things a little. I was looking into some chips and am just worried about reliability which is more important to me than a little extra performance. do I even need a chip to run a dohc motor on a p28? also are there any chips that can modify an auto p28 to manual specs? I have both a manual and auto p28 but if i'm going to chip the ecu anyways i would rather chip the auto one and sell the manual one. my setup is going to be a rebuilt 94 ls block with type r pistons and a b16 head. not looking for crazy power but a little extra wouldn't be bad.
