As title, I have my budget ready for a b18c engine swapped into my ek9. My seller has 2 engines available the b18c4 and the b18c gsr one with obd1 wiring. Went througt some search but couldn't get the answer I want since last night, so decided to post here.

Which one will be better swap as i know the gsr one more hp one but in terms of acceleration, vtec etc and more room for upgrades to reach at least 200 or more hp. I have already ordered the skunk2 intake + throttle body as well for it.

the B18C4 has 10.0:1 compression the B18C (gsr) has 10.6:1
thats where the extra HP comes from
other than that they are pretty much the same engine

gear ratios on the B18C (gsr) tranny are a little closer than the B18C4

Ok thanks. From what I read above, better go for the gsr one.
