No, this is not a gay thread. I just bought "the prestige" with him, hugh jackman, and scarlett johannson. I thought the movie was phenomenal.

After watching him in American Psycho, Batman, The prestige, and best of all Harsh Times, I've become a really big fan. He's very versatile and adapts so well to his characters. He is quickly becoming (in my opinion) the top actor to watch.

Equilibrium has been adapted several times.

Equilibrium had the best gun play scenes in a movie.

Best swordplay scene in a movie ? The Princess Bride.

Equilibrium is loosely based on Aldous Huxley's classic Brave New World If you like the movie, read the book.

SO MANY movies and other books are based "loosely upon " a Brave New World. IT's crazy.

I've always thought that Edward Norton is an amazing actor.
Primal Fear, American History X, Fight Club, 25th Hour, Rounders, The People vs. Larry Flint, The Illusionist, Death to Smoochy, Down in the Valley.

Every movie I've seen him in I've always thought he's done an amazing job perfecting the character/role and he's not a one dimensional actor either, he's quite diverse actor. He's also a very educated individual, Graduated from Yale in 91' as a history major.

    I just watched The Prestige
I don't see how anyone could deduce that Christian Bale is the best hollywood actor for his role in this single film. I wouldn't add him to the list of it's a must see movie because Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Samuel L .Jackson, or Edward Norton is in the film. I tink it's too soon to pass that judgment on this fellow, we need to see more of his work.

As for the movie itself , It was a really well written screenplay and overall a very good movie. The cinematography, set design, wardrobe was done very well too. The acting by all the characters was moderate at best, no really mind blowing performances by anyone really. It was nice to see David Bowie in this film he hit his characters persona spot on.

It's worth the rental and the 2hrs 10min runtime.
