If M3s are what I remember, I have no fear. The two are about the same. The M can outhandle me 2:1 though, which is why I'm hesitant on the track thing. I'll have to shave off 50 functional mph to make a corner.

What are some of the average speeds up at Limerock during those events ?

average speed is pretty meaningless..

911 cup cars hit 140-150 on the front stretch.
E hit i think he said 115 in the del sol

i should be able to get 120-125 out of it at damn near 100%
the thing about limerock is its a pretty easy track to drive but its a very hard track to master

Engine mods, suspension mods?

A bolt on (ihe) k20 eg hatch with hondata k-reflash will easily run consistant high 12's with some good rubber. I bet a crx would be faster with the proper suspension/traction mods and radials or slicks.

What is your overall goal with the crx?

Yeah, I think B will make far higher speeds into and out of corners. And you know what they say about races and corners.

Autocross is really what I was thinking, unless you wanna make some sort of illegal road run.
