Civic Ex Vtec

    When should the vtec kick in at?? mine kicks in a 5500 rpmis that right and if it is not why is it not woking rite??

    im gonna go out on a limb and guess that he means this-







    I dont know the answers to those questions though, im not a vtec kind of guy :)

    I'm sorry i don't know the answers to those questions but if you search around in "General Tech" you will find the answers because not too long ago, someone had similar questions and they got help.

    I'm not sure what year yours is, but my neighbor's 94 EX kicks into VTEC at 5000.

    My 99 Civic EX VTEC kicks in @ 5500. I've been told that's when its supposed to kick in.

    if i got a vtec controller and i wanted it to kick in at 3500 jsut an example but if its cold in the morning one day and i dont want it too kick in till about 5500 could i easily turn it up or down when i feel ive never messed with one i just wanted to know?

    that'd be the point, it controls the vtec. hence, vtec controller.
