civic vx swap

Hi everyone im new in this page i have a question y have a vtec engine from a civic ex 94 my car is a civic vx can i keep the same tranny and ecu

not sure what the gearing is on the vx, but all D series parts interchange. I would upgrade to the ex tranny and p28 ecu, since it needs to run it for best results in oem form.

The VX has longer, more economical gearing, so swapping to an Si/EX tranny would benefit you somewhat. Also the fuel maps, vtec engagement points are different in the VX, so it would hender the D16Z6's performance. If you're gooing to swap them you should use all the EX parts, but it isn't nescessary to make the engine run.
