Work in progress!
Hey all I've got a 95 ex with the d16z6. Does anybody have a good clutch/flywheel combo they have that is good for a daily driven ride that is not heavily modified? I'm looking into replacing mine around the first of the year as my car has the original clutch/flywheel and I don't know how much more life it has after 172,000 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would look into a scrap yard, I beleive u can get the stock cluch and flywheel off another civic... modles DX, EX and SI just a cheap thought!

The least expensive clutch kit from ACT. Honda Civic Parts Specialists look around there they have some quality parts but definately look into ACT if you want a longer lasting clutch and if you need a new flywheel they have them at procivic too.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm more looking towards the aftermarket clutches over a cheap fix cause I don't want to have to worry it for a while.

I'm not sure what the actual weight of the stock flywheel is on this car based on what I've read I'm thinking its in the 17-18 lb range. I was looking at a 11-13 lb flywheel to get a little extra pep out of the motor, without sacrificing driveability.

2000 SI Transmission

I have a 2000 civic SI coupe it’s stock right now but I have big plans for it I want to go turbo on it and try to go over 400hp but right know I’m having problems with my clutch and I don’t know if replace it for a twin plate or replace the whole transmission but my question is with transmission will be perfect for my car If I want to go turbo on it or if I just replace the final drive and the gears for closer ones to get more power on the transmission that I already have please help me out?? Also I will be replacing the block for a GS-R or a B-20 but I don’t know witch one will be perfect for turbo

I have an Exedy OE clutch on my 135whp Z6 and it holds the power just fine. I have an extra, shipped to your door for $80.

I second that. Exedy OE clutches hold up extremely well. My car has about 90 whp more than stock, and it has been awesome. $80 shipped is a damn good deal too.

Seriously? This is the exact same crap that you've already posted twice now. I answered you in your other thread. You don't need to rebuild your transmission and you don't need to swap any gears. The Si tranny already has short gears.

Stop jacking other people's threads. If you need more help then ask another question in your own thread.

Yeah $80 is a great deal will it be avaliable for me to get from you maybe right after first of year?

Oh I forgot to ask is it the complete kit or just the disc?
