Ok so here's what's going on my tps was all busted up so I put a new one on and the car runs but is hard to start and wont rev up, when I put a load on it starts cuting out and sometimes backfires, I'm getting code 16. I also noticed that my alt is no good, would that make it so the dizzy doesn't get enuff spark causing it to cut out when I put the engine under load? I'm going to have the alt tested and make sure its bad and not the wiring. I have some other injectors I can put in but I don't think thats the problem. some help here would be great. This is in my 89 civic hb si, the engine is a d15b7 from a eg.

Fuel injector code...probally a fuel injector problem. Did you use the obdo injectors when you put the b7 in? Are all your injector clips on snug, resistor box plugged up? Is your regulator bad...just a few places id start looking. Good luck

Thanks, I'll check it out, not sure about the obd0 injectors, I'm assuming yes because the intake and fuel rail looks like the stock si one and not one from a eg, I got the car with the swap already done, and the clips are all tight, the injectors seem to be working, I put a screwdriver on each one with my ear on the handle side a can hear them ticking so it seems that they are working, there was a bit of oil coming out of one of the valve cover studs because there was no seal and a bit of oil got on the injectors plugs, idk, but i'll check things out some more, thanks.

If you think its a voltage issue, do a voltage-drop test. But if the code being thrown is an injector malfunction and the injectors are "clicking" open/close, than the injectors/clips could be mismatched. Check the wiring as well, make sure there is nothing that will cause higher resistance for its a low voltage circuit and you will notice any resistance easily.

What can cause a higher resistance, in the circuit?

Corroded wires, hacked wiring jobs, wiring inside the clips connectors corroded... anything that will interfere with the current flow. A continuity test would be a good place to start. Remove the injector and use a multi-meter to test it. It is important that the injector is removed for current cannot be flowing through or else you will get a bad reading. This test just makes sure everything inside is continuous, meaning connected and will function properly... Here is a link to a write-up on performing this test... I'm too lazy to write it out myself, but its really simple...
