code reading help ?

I have a 88 crx dx with a B16a3 in it I'm running obd0 ecu, runs great but now it is flashing 1 pause 1 pause then 3 real fast I'm guessing it is 23 which is knock sencer is this right ? how do I check if it is the Knock sencer is bad ? the car runs great dosn't sound like it is knocking. I just bought type R pistons but don't want to put them in untill I find out want is wrong

it looks really hard to replace plus I don't have one. do they go bad?

yea they go bad and as far as i know theres no way to check them

also just because you don't hear the motor knocking doesn't mean it's not, there is also the ever mysterious phantom knock that can be anything rattling especially exhaust vibration. try replacing the sensor first.
