Can I use coilovers on my stock shocks?
Yes you can. I have some cheap ass goldline coilovers now and it is a bouncy ride but if you have some good coilovers it will not be very bouncy. You will eventually want to upgrade your shocks though.
ok i just have to be an asshole here .....
these are "coil overs"
these are "adjustable springs"
theyre not the same thing
oh well just needed to rant for a sec
yeah... right on E-dawg
and just a side note to anyone who actually did or is planning to get true coil overs .... please get the car corner balanced ... its a shame to see people with sick ass suspension setups like these that arent getting to perform anywhere near their true potential cuz they arent properly tuned
what is corner balancing???
corner balancing is prettymuch exactly what it sounds like ... they put your car on 4 scales ( 1 at each wheel ) and make adjustments untill the weight is distributed in the desired way around the car be it evenly or weighted to the front or rear ... thats a rough explaination of it .... but it does DRASTICLY improve your handling
And if you REALLY want to do it right, you place some weights in the drivers seat that add up to your weight... and THEN corner balance it...
No sense in tuning your suspension so that the car handles it's best when it's empty! ^_^
true good point!
i forgot to add that .... thanks
