i know a b16 has hoses/hole in the intake for worm coolant to flow through during cold starts but what if you could rout the hoses so the coolant was coming from the cold side of the radiator?? thus cooling the intake making the air denser producing more power... would just be a very small diffrence but its a thaught i had.. any input??

Any fluid from the radiator is going to be hot.

They have hot coolant going there for a reason; better fuel atomization and aids in cold-starts.

the purpose of a radiator is to keep the engine cool, so the coolant has to be cooler going out of the radiator than it does going in. im not saying ice cold, im saying cooler. and my lines were blocked off when i baught the engine

I highly suggest you read up on "Engines 101". The purpose of the cooling system in our vehicles is to keep the temperature between ~170-210F, not to keep it cold as can be. This is why people let their cars warm up in the morning.

Ever wonder why the thermostat is closed when the engine is cold? Ever wonder why the fan only kicks on when it's hot? Ever wonder why engines are built with clearances instead of a "perfect fit"?

I'm sorry, I'm not on a lower intellect level and research everything I do. :p

The IACV and FITV are all based around idle and "around" idle performance. Looping the coolant lines is completely different than trying to use coolant to cool the unit. Hell, the intake manifold itself gets just about as hot as the head.

If they're already blocked off, it's fine to just leave them like that. If you start having cold-start idling issues including hunting idle, try hooking them up.

Sorry, I just don't like it when people respond like that; I honestly didn't know what you're implying.
