Cold engine cuts off

Car: 1988 CRX-SI

Engine: D16Z6

Problem: When my car is cold if I try to drive it the idle will drop to low and the car will cut off. Once the engine is warm the car runs like a champ!
Any clue as to what the problem may be would be greatly appreciated.

maybe you are using oil thats too thick. use 5w30 (thats what honda recommends for the crx).

I am using 5w-30 so it must be something else. Do you think it could be something dealing with the dizzy?
