I boosted yesterday 7-8psi on a b16a2(second gen)

Suddenly 3 cylinders. Towed my car home.
This moring compersion test.
Cyl 2&3 200 psi. Cyl 1 10 psi Cyl 4 50psi.
White smoke out of the valve breather. White/blake smoke out of the exhaust.

Is this the symtons of the blow head gasket or pistons with a crack.

calvin thanks

white smoke is usually a headgasket. black smoke is bad.
tear the head off dude. something is broken :(

:werd:

Black and white smoke together while burning antifreeze and oil in mass quantity is even worse. I don't know anything about that though... well, my CRX does.

:lmao:

I will do that this week.
I think the black is for unburned gasoline.

I have to look. I hope the best but so what if it's bad?

Rebuild with sleeves/piston/rods.

same thing happened to me, but my rings where fine cylinders 1 and 2 had 25-30 compression :( we got the pistons out and the ring lands where cracked...white smoke came out the crank breather and everything

Black is usually unburned gas, or just too much gas. ;)

You could always do what the Houston guys do- just swap in another B16 and get another to use as a standby. Boost like hell, tune like hell, then swap in the spare when your new B16 blows up yet again. Cheap cheap cheap!
